Walking Without Crutches

You ever feel that you're supposed to say something and you'd rather not do it? Have you ever gone against the leading of the Holy Spirit...and not do what He's placed on your heart? Yep. I've done that before, and frankly, I hated the feeling afterwards. Once, we were sitting at a fast food restaurant and a stranger was really being ugly about another customer after they left. And I felt that familiar push of the Holy Spirit leading me to witness to the man...and I didn't do it. I still feel awful about it, and I pray God forgives me of that and sent someone else to witness in my place. What an opportunity I missed.

I've had that push again. That same still small voice telling me...leading me...to share some parts of me and my past that are very personal and private.

And hurtful and ugly.

*Sigh*

Sometimes, I'm almost crippled by fear.
And please. I know the Scriptures about fear. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7

"In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me." - Isaiah 54:14

Sometimes it sneaks up on me, and I get this horrifying, overwhelming, knee buckling, heart gripping fear that almost knocks me to the ground.

After the birth of our first child, I privately went to my mother and told her about my problem with being afraid of the dark. I felt stupid. Childish. Irrational, even. I'm a mother now, I shouldn't be afraid of the dark. I'm supposed to be the one who's strong for the children when they have a bad dream, right?

My mother looked at me and wisely nodded her head. She wasn't surprised at all, and I wanted to know why.

Our conversation went something like this:

Mom: You have a good reason to be afraid of the dark.
Me: I do? Why? (at this point, I seriously didn't know.)
Mom: Don't you remember when you were locked in a basement when you were four?
Me: (stunned silence, then,) I had forgotten about that (and the memory hit me loud and clear.)

When I was young, I was taken by a teenaged neighbor and locked in their basement. There wasn't any lights on, and sadly, I remember not having clothes on. That's where my memory shuts down, and I'm glad that's where I go blank. After a while, the mother came home and heard me screaming in the basement and took me to my own home.

This wasn't a neighbor I was friends with. Come on. I was four, and this was a teenager. Obviously, we weren't the best of friends, and no, they had never, ever babysat for me.

Today, I can sleep without a night light on.
I can drive in the dark and I can walk to our front door in the dark without running and panicking.
can let our cats out, step outside and knock the coffee grounds into the compost pile in the dark without turning on the porch light.

Because I have learned to walk without crutches.
See, I don't let the crutch of fear and despair get hold of me and cripple me anymore, because I know I have a beautiful Friend Who will help me through each and every dark path and dark step I have to take. I don't let this become something that hinders me or allow it to rule my day and/or night. I have learned this lesson the hard way. I've had to walk a dark, dreary road until I realized I was carrying a burden too great for me to bear.

I've seen/heard so many people say they can't do something because of something that happened in their past.

I can't do______________because when I was a kid...
I don't like dogs, because when I was a kid, I was attacked by a pit bull...
I'm afraid to _____________because once, I...

and the list goes on.

Trust me. There's a lot on my list. I've only told you one thing about myself, and I have tons more. I've walked a dark, terrifying path that has taught me a very, very great lesson.

I have a Friend in Jesus and He will take me through this.

No. I didn't go to counselling with a preacher, psychiatrist, or psychologist.

I went to the King of kings, and Lord of lords, and I told Him that I was afraid.
You know what else I told Him?

I told Him I was tired of being afraid and I asked Him to help me not be anymore. To take my valid fear and make me a confident ~ not egotistical and prideful, but confident ~ young woman that can trust Him to take care of me.

And He did what I asked Him to.

Are you allowing a crutch from your past hinder you in something today? Have you taken that crutch you rely on and given it to God and asked Him to take it away?
Friend, if you're dealing with something difficult that you would like prayer for, email me at amanda38401 at gmail dot com and I'll add you to my prayer list. You don't even have to tell me your name or the problem. Won't you allow Him to take that particular care from your burdened shoulders and carry it for you? He's waiting patiently for it. All you have to do is give it to Him.

I'm Just a Child!

We were in the middle of our Algebra lesson. Yes, Algebra. Not Pre-Algebra, but Algebra and things weren't working out very well for us.

My son and I were having a...muddy day.

There are certain days that we can surf right through our Algebra lesson without a hitch. He learns it, I'm refreshed, we get along, and all goes well.

This is *not* always the case.
There are some days when our lesson seems to be as clear as the proverbial mud, or, as clear as the blackest of black coffees.

This was one of those days.

It wasn't going well. My daughter had just hit the halfway mark of her entire seatwork, and my son and I hadn't even finished the lesson part. Sheesh! Could it get any worse?!

My son has attention problems. I'm not saying he's A.D.D. because we haven't had him tested, but I am saying...ooh look! A red headed woodpecker just landed in the tree! Is that sirens I hear? I think I left the dog out. Do you hear that backhoe that's a mile down the road? They're working on the ditch again.. all within the space of five minutes. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure of some things, and I've considered calling the Government and requesting a no-fly zone be declared over our house.

Things would just be better that way.

Anyway. I digress.
We were having a muddy day, and it seems that those muddy days are some of the funniest and most endearing days. Oxymoron-ic sounding, right?

Well, I was about to bash my head against the white-board before going over the problem set for the sixth time, when he looked up at me, his big, adorable brown eyes wide, and he says...

"Mom. I'm just a child in these things. A child."

With all the seriousness of a preacher at a funeral.
BooksByAmandaPicture121012

And I had to laugh.

Because, if you remember, a long while ago, I talked about how the Bible says "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." and I take that seriously. (Praise God for HuMoR)

But while I giggled like a hyena and we did finally get the point of the lesson (I take back all those times I said I was never going to use this...) he did bring me to another thought.

How we should be like children in certain areas.
Like anger. And malice.

You remember the days when you and your best friend were on the outs and you swore you were never going to speak to her again? Then, after only ten minutes, you couldn't stand it anymore and you were the best of friends again? That's what I'm talking about.

Quick to forgive.
Quick to make up and get over it.
Quick to bury the hatchet and knock the chip off your shoulder because life is just better with your friend.

"Suffer the little children to come unto me." See, there's something special about a child. They believe. They forgive. They love.

Isn't it time we were a bit more childish about some of the important things? Like forgiveness and malice?
Yep. That's going to be my New Year's Resolution. But I'm not going to wait to begin.
I'm starting right now. How about you?

Fired Up by Mary Connealy Book Review and Tour!

Fired Up by Mary Connealy

About the book:
Rollicking Wild West Adventure and Romance from Bestselling Author Mary Connealy

Dare Riker is a doctor who saves lives, but someone seems determined to end his. It may have something to do with the traitors he dealt with during the Civil War, or it might be related to the recent incident with Flint Greer and the ranch. Whoever the culprit is, he or she seems really fired up, and Dare can't let his guard down for a moment, which is a challenge, since right now he's trying to win the heart of the recently widowed Glynna.

Glynna Greer came west as a mail-order bride and ended up in a bad situation. Now her husband, Flint, is dead, and she's determined to care for her son and daughter on her own. She wants to believe Dare Riker is as decent as he seems, but she's terrified to lock herself into another marriage. She plans to support her small family by opening a diner---never mind that cooking is not her greatest talent. The men in Broken Wheel, Texas, are so desperate for home cooking that they seem willing to overlook dried-out beef and blackened biscuits.

Glynna can't help but notice that danger follows Dare wherever he goes. There's the avalanche. And then the fire. But things really get out of hand when someone plunges a knife from Glynna's diner into Dare's back. Are Flint's cronies still plotting revenge? Is Glynna's son engaged in a misguided attempt to protect his mother? Is a shadowy outsider still enraged over past injustices? And can Dare survive long enough to convince Glynna to take another chance on love?

My Thoughts:
As you already know, I'm a die-hard Mary Connealy fan. I adore her writing. She's funny, whimsical, and at the same time, deep. Her stories can make me laugh quicker than almost any other story out there, with the possible exception of Shel Silverstein.

This second book in the Trouble in Texas series, was pretty good. It had the characteristic funny moments that made me laugh out loud (and make my husband wonder if I have finally rounded the proverbial bend), and there were parts that made me irritated. How this writer can write a teenaged boy to such perfection, including his desire to be a man while being an obnoxious brat, made me wonder more than once if she's had to deal with this type of person in reality.

I had the inkling that her next book in the Trouble in Texas series was going to pick up the story of Dare and Glynna ~ I was right. Glynna wasn't my favorite in the first book, but she grew on me a little in Fired Up. I still didn't like her as much as I liked Ruthy, but she was tolerable. One thing I detested was Glynna's son, Paul. Oh my goodness, there were *so many* times I wanted to reach out and touch someone with the board of education that it wasn't funny. I seriously wanted to teach that rascal a thing or two in a not so nice way and I praised God on more than one occasion that my son isn't like that. Whoo-eee!

The characters that really gained my intense interest and I wanted to know so much more about though, were Vince and Tina. Oh please, please, please tell me there's going to be another Trouble in Texas book that tells their story! Seriously. Sign me up right now and I will finish that book in less than an afternoonIt will be devoured.

My final answer on this book?
Recommend.
*My thanks goes to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions. I was not required they be positive.*

Alone in the Woods by Cheryl Rogers - New Book Alert!

The second in a series of Bible Camp Mysteries by Christian author Cheryl Rogers is slated for release Sept. 15. Called Alone in the Woods, the book set in the Florida backwoods, teaches the power of prayer to heal.

Alone in the Woods by Cheryl Rogers

About the Book:
"In the book, the group of campers discover a woman living far off the beaten trail to avoid electricity. When they learn she suffers from a severe immune disorder, they know God has put her in their path," says Rogers. "They pray for her, and she is healed."

The mystery series features a former New York gang leader Chet Harrigan, who leads a fellowship group for 10- to 16-year-old boys attending a Central Florida community church. The group, known as the Boy's Den, puts their faith to the test as they encounter unforeseen difficulties in the woods.

The first book, Lost in the Woods: A Bible Camp Mystery, involves the mysterious disappearance of 13-year-old Zack in the middle of the night. The group battles no-see-ums, a bout of food poisoning, and an impending hurricane as they scour the woods for the missing Zack.

In Alone in the Woods, Chet tries to correct the mistakes they made during that first disastrous trip. He even hires a wilderness guide to join them at camp and build a hut, but he winds up with a novice whose unfortunate blunders only complicate matters. Their dedicated chef, one of the boy's uncles, foils their plan for an elaborate evening feast – when he goes missing.

But two boys who wander off the trail make it all worthwhile when they discover Sandy, a crusty woman who needs some friends pretty badly. Chet tells her about Jesus, the group prays for her, and she is healed.

"It is my goal through the Bible Camp Mysteries to share the biblical path to salvation – and other important truths from God's Word – in a fun and entertaining way," Rogers says.

In the end, Sandy and the group enjoy a sumptuous feast in the wilderness as a forest fire rages at the edge of the park.

Alone in the Woods, aimed at preteens and teens, is available for pre-ordering from Apple, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Smashwords.com, for $2.99.

About the Author:
Cheryl Rogers

Swayed by her love of Nancy Drew Mysteries, Rogers decided as a child she wanted to be a writer. But it wasn't until she came to know the Lord, as an adult, that she knew what she was to write about.

"I was suffering from Environmental Illness, a severe immune disorder," Rogers recalls. "When I surrendered my life to him, he healed me."
A former newspaper reporter, she has dedicated herself to sharing the good news of God's salvation through her writing.

With her Bible Camp Mysteries, Rogers has come full circle. "The Bible Camp Mysteries incorporate action and suspense similar to the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy mysteries," Rogers says, "while infusing biblical principles and godly examples of faith."

Cheryl Rogers, who publishes New Christian Books Online Magazine at http://www.songsfromtheword.com/NewChristianBooks, writes fiction and nonfiction to share her faith. In addition to her Bible Camp Mystery series, she has written a short story collection featuring modern Jonahs. Just Like Jonah Wail Tales features wail tales or exaggerated tales of woe involving characters who land in a whale of trouble for their wrong choices. Like Jonah, they surrender their lives to God and receive his mercy. She also has written a parent/teacher guide, Just Like Jonah Wail Tales Workbook, which includes the short stories, plus Scripture citations and discussion questions.

Twelve Years Ago

This video is graphic and may not be suitable for younger viewers.

There are so many things on my mind as I watch the horrific September 11th videos on YouTube. Destruction. Devastation. Death.

They all got my attention. They all caused a pang of sadness and tears. Is this what humanity does to humanity? We hate each other this much that we're willing to kill others without reason or rhyme?

There once was a Man who decided to die for those that hated Him. He'd done nothing wrong. He didn't deserve to die. He chose to. Because He knew this was the only Way mankind could come to His Father. (John 14:6 - I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.)

He knew that one day, there would be a little, four year old girl that would ask Him to save her from her sins so that she could go to Heaven and be with Him when she died. You may think this girl was too young and didn't know what she was doing. Was an innocent. Naive.

No. This girl had endured pain. Betrayal. Tragedy. Things that could tear her apart if she thought of them too much. But this girl knew something. She knew she needed, nay, wanted Him in her life.

This Man listened to that little girl. Tiny, obscure, plain. Didn't amount to much because, hey. She was only a child.

But that day, New Years Eve, 1978, He answered the call of the pitiful. Helpless. Hopeless. Hurting. And He saved her soul. Even though He knew she'd mess up in her later years. He knew she wasn't perfect. But He loved her anyway.

When I watched this particular video, I knew this was what was going on my blog post. This was the one I wanted to share with you. And then, after it was finished, I wanted to ask you a question.

This is my question.

If you were to die today, do you know where you would spend eternity?
This is the single, most important question you will ever be asked to answer. So don't hurry. Think about this for a minute. Be honest with yourself.

See, Jesus is that Man who died to pay for the sins of the world. The One who died when He hadn't done anything wrong, or anything to deserve it.

And He offers you the same thing he offered that little girl in 1978.

Hope.
Change.
(No, this isn't an election ad.)

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Doesn't sound very hopeful yet, does it? But, praise God, He doesn't stop there.)

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (There's that hope we were talking about ~ Amen!)

Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. (Even that pitiable little girl. Wait. That boy over there. And that older couple over there...everyone.)

Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (commendeth = showed. Um, good thing I'm not God. Because I don't think I could take the place of a guilty person and die for them. Yep. Guess I'm a little shallow...)

Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (And that's the change.)

Have you asked Him, Jesus, to save you? If there's only one more thing I accomplish in this life, may it be a soul won for Him.

Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1

Treasures of Darkness by Trish Jenkins - Win a Kindle Fire!

“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” – Isaiah 45:3

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

“Prison was not on the “Goal Chart” of entrepreneur Trish Jenkins. A breach of the Corporations Act meant losing her multi-million dollar portfolio, including her family home. It also meant Trish served 8 months in prison.
Isolated from her husband and 3 little girls, living among Queensland’s most dangerous criminals, Trish could have succumbed to despair. But treasure is found in dark places. Refusing to give into self-pity, Trish answered a new calling to make a difference in the lives around her. In doing so she found a different kind of freedom and healing.
These pages are Trish’s letters and private journal entries, tracking her amazing journey with God. You’ll laugh, cry and shake your head at hilarious stories, tragic circumstances, discouragement, hope and ever present faith.”

Christian Nonfiction Amazon Reviews

Treasures of Darkness Christian NonfictionI was jolted by Jenkins description that “there were times of sublime joy each time I had a victory over the evil that pervaded… I was spellbound and gob smacked as I turned each page with anticipation. As the author suggested, we all have our prisons, some not made of brick and mortar. It’s clearly about how we take these circumstances, knowing ahead of time that through God we are victorious; and allowing God to use us.”
Trish Jenkins, a practising Christian was incarcerated when some financial dealings got out of control. She mustered all the bravery she could summon and allowed Jesus Christ to ooze out of her to those classified as unredeemable. Murderers, drug related criminals, traffic offenders, welfare cheats and the like all mingle in this sub-culture. Her faith has safeguarded her sanity in this toxic environment.”
A seriously good read – I couldn’t put it down and read the entire book in a single sitting.”
You won’t see your relationship with God or the opportunity to be a shining beacon despite persecution or hardship in the same way after reading Treasures of Darkness.”
God used Trish mightily to minister to many of the most hopeless. She faced danger in doing so. People have all sorts of opinions about prayer, she tells us. They sometimes blame God for their problems, and can resent people who love Him. And she finds herself hauled up before the prison authorities after a couple of women were slain in the spirit during a worship service. Yet she persevered, and many appear to have seen the light, thanks to her efforts.”
This is an outstanding read! Trish chronicles her experiences as a successful businesswoman who is sentenced to prison for securities law violations. As she tells her story, we go with her through every step of the process, sharing her fears and apprehensions as well as her joys and victories. This is a story about God’s faithfulness to His children and His ability to walk us through even the darkest valley. I highly recommend this book.”

Christian Author Trish JenkinsLiving with murderers, drug dealers, frauds and broken humanity, her prayers for deliverance were not answered the way she expected. Instead the Lord delivered her “through the fire…” Prison was not part of Trish Jenkins’ ministry plans but it happened. Conned by a fraud and a breach of the Corporations Act meant losing her multi-million dollar portfolio, including her family home. It also meant Trish served 8 months in prison, isolated from her husband and 3 little girls. How did this wife and mother maintain her relationship with God in this hostile environment?
In her imprisonment, Trish found an inner strength that enabled her to even comfort those around her. Trish was determined to turn the incarceration into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those around her. In doing so she found a different kind of freedom and healing.
Trish is now a conference and church speaker, sharing her hard won treasures of practical, godly keys to successful living and leadership, with both secular and Christian audiences.

Financial Empowerment - Realign Your Finances to God's Will by Pamela Carmichael

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Phillipians 4:19

“Are you in a constant financial struggle and juggle where there never seems to be enough? Do you wonder if God is able to or even willing to provide for you? Are you constantly paying bills and covering debt payments without seeing much progress? Are you faithful in tithing and giving but yet you cannot see an outpoured blessing?
Then read this book to find God’s answer to your financial challenges. Financial Empowerment is about managing your finances based on biblical principles. It identifies challenges we face in 9 key areas of our finances and gives God-based solutions on how to solve them and become empowered.
In a simple easy-to-read style, Financial Empowerment is a fresh look at how you see your finances and how to deal with them effectively.”

Amazon Reviews

Christian Finance NonfictionAs a reviewer of numerous Christian publications, I can attest that “Financial Empowerment” is exceptional. Carmichael’s 27 years of Christian service echoes page after page. I was impressed with the depth and breadth that she lovingly demonstrated about specific areas, e.g. God’s assignment of work, leaving an inheritance and using your money to help others.” – - Danita Dyess for Readers’ Favorite
I found Financial Empowerment to be very Bible-centered, informative and challenging especially at a time when money is such a major issue with world-wide economic problems. Christian Finance NonfictionI am a Christian, and I am enthusiastic about it. I am an avid reader of non-fiction books and a love music that praises God and builds my faith in Him. At sixteen, I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I have grown in this Christian walk not only because of regular church attendance but because of much reading, writing (a notebook and pen – are my constant companions), listening to uplifting gospel music and lots of prayer. My favorite hang out spot has been bookstores rather than clothing stores.

CHAPTER 2

God is the Source

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.
—Psalm 24:1–2

It is perfectly logical to assume that a wise and competent Creator would provide for the needs of His creatures in their various stages of growth.
—Charles Fillmore, Prosperity
SO WHO IS OUR SOURCE?
H
ave we ever asked ourselves, Who is my source? If not, now is a good time to do so. So, who is our source? Is it our job or business income—or is it God? Money is such a personal thing that we often fail to recognize that the money we hold in our hands is not ours.
Perhaps you work hard and deserve to be paid for your services. However, you may think your education, talent, creativity, good opportunities, or even your good looks brought what you have.
But again, I ask, Who is your source? Being a good Christian, you may likely answer that God is your source, but do you really believe that?
I’ve had to ask myself this question a few times in my life—when money seemed limited, when I had to juggle figures to see how I could best meet my needs when no money seemed to be in sight, yet bills were due. I’ve even asked this question when times were good and I enjoyed abundance.
So who is your source when times are good and all seems well but trouble comes and all your savings and income suddenly dry up? Do you trust God only when you have enough or live in abundance? Or do you trust Him even when you don’t know where the money is coming from?
WHY WE DON’T TRUST GOD AS OUR SOURCE
What causes us not to trust God as our source? What are some of the effects of limiting God and not seeing Him as our source?
  • We Don’t Think We Will Prosper
  • We Don’t Believe His Word
  • Worry Is Our Friend
TRUSTING GOD AS OUR SOURCE
By definition a source is any thing or place from which something comes, arises, or is obtained; origin (See http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/source?s=t). God is the origin from which all life flows. Psalm 24:1 says that the earth belongs to God, everything in it and everyone who lives on it. All is God’s (Deut. 10:14; Job 41:11; Ps. 50:12; 89:11).
So how do you view your God? Is He the origin of all you need? Is He the One from whom your needs will be met daily? Or do you still think He is limited in His ability to provide for you? If so, you need to examine the Word and see how you can align your will to God’s Word and fully understand that He is your source.

•    God, the Creator, prepared for the needs of His children beforehand. From the beginning, the One who created us has been the source of all our needs. First, He designed this world for us to live in. In His love for us, He planted a garden with food, clothing, water, shelter, gold, and precious stones. The sin of Adam brought upon us the curse of hard work and poverty—by the sweat of our brows we eat (Gen. 3:17–20). But faithful as He is, God did not take away His provision from us. From creation until now we see His faithfulness in providing for all who live on this earth.
Moreover, for those who believe and confess Christ as Lord and Savior, His Word promises over and over again that He will take care of all our needs and grant the desires of our hearts (Ps. 21:2; 37:4). Yet when we face financial difficulties, we often become fearful and think God’s resources have dried up. We always need to remember that God is the source of all our needs.
•    “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3). What a wonderful promise! God has given you more than you need to enjoy life and live a godly life before Him. God wants to give you not just enough but more than enough to be a blessing to others. Second Corinthians 9:8 says that God will cause you to have more than you need so you can give toward good works. The Word of God emphasizes that God will supply both what you need in your life today and what you need for the future. Regardless of your need, God gives to you when you ask. The Father God knows what you need and will provide (Matt. 6:31–32).
•    If God has taken the time and effort to number the hairs on each person’s head, don’t you think He has all the details of your life worked out (Luke 12:7)? If He has not only given great care to determine how many hairs are on your head, but has also numbered each of them; don’t you think He knows what your financial position is? He has said that you are more valuable to Him than many sparrows. He takes care of the animals, but He takes greater care of every human being created in His image. God had all your needs figured out long before you knew about them, so don’t worry.
•    “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Yes, you probably know Philippians 4:19 all too well. If God says He will, then He will. Scripture is filled with promise after promise that God will take care of you. The psalmist said that as a youth and throughout his years on earth, he did not see the righteous and their children beg for food (Ps. 37:25). The righteous includes you! You and your children shall never beg for food because God in His faithfulness as the source of all good things will provide for you.
TRUST HIM
In this world, relying on ourselves alone is signing up for certain failure. God has promised in His Word that He will meet our needs and provide for us along life’s journey. If we trust Him, He will surely make life good for us. If we trust Him, we will have peace regardless of the turmoil going on around us. When hope fails for others, our trust in God will keep the hope in us alive, and we will see nothing as impossible or hopeless. If we trust Him, we will always remember that He who promised us many blessings is faithful to perform the word He spoke to His people. When we trust God as our source, we will experience not only His peace but also His provision.
Remember, the starting point of all you have, all you need, all you will possess, and all you will be in life is God. He is the stream from which all things flow. Your income is not the starting point of your provision. God is.
